WELCOME FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Greetings!
On behalf of Epsilon Kappa chapter
of Alpha Delta Pi at Troy University, I would like to welcome you to our
website. My name is Maggie Lee and I have the honor and privilege of serving as
president for the year 2009. I am extremely excited for the year ahead.
Established in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi
is committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards and
social responsibility. We are a diverse group of women who make a difference in
each other's lives, in the community and on campus. I believe our motto “We
Live For Each Other,” expresses the true spirit of fraternity, and that by
living this motto our lives will be enriched by true friendships and unselfish service to mankind.
We have many fun events planned for
the Spring Semester. We are all looking forward to our Black Diamond Ball in
April that will be held in Montgomery, AL. We will also hold an Alumnae Tea,
Spring Sisterhood Retreat, and Senior Picnic this semester. Our Philanthropy
event, “Rock For Ronald” is still in the planning stages, which will be a
battle of the bands type of event. In the Fall, we host our annual “Most Wanted
Man” contest. All the proceeds raised by Epsilon Kappa chapter is sent to the
Ronald McDonald House in Mobile, Alabama. Our chapter travels to Mobile
every fall semester to witness our donations at work, which is always an
amazing and rewarding experience.
As
I walked into the Alpha Delta Pi house on the first day recruitment I knew it
was home. Not knowing what to expect in recruitment and Alpha Delta Pi being my
first house, I was welcomed with open arms. I have made lifelong friendships
and bonds that can never be replaced here at Epsilon Kappa. I never imagined
that one day I would be honored enough to serve as Epsilon Kappa’s president. I
am thrilled to hold this position and excited for the year to come. I am proud of all that Epsilon Kappa
has accomplished and look forward to what the future holds.
Loyally,
Maggie Lee
